Germs Germs Germs

“In my own research (and much done before my time), has shown that the germ theory of disease does not tell the whole story. I came to the conclusion that germs do not initiate a diseased state of the body but appear later when a person becomes ill”
-Alice Lorraine Smith (contemporary Microbiologist)

At our office we often get calls with someone saying they can’t come in because they are sick and they don’t want us to get it.

Well, this Chiro Thot is here to clear up any confusion.  First thing—We WANT you to get adjusted also when you aren’t feeling well.  The adjustments will help you get better faster by boosting your immune system.
The second thing is, We don’t believe in the Germ Theory!

What is Germ Theory?  It says that if you are exposed to a specific germ, bacteria or virus, you will get sick from it.
Why don’t we buy it?  Because we work with lots of patients all week with many types of germs and viruses and we don’t get sick!

*Rather than being the cause of disease, germs seek out diseased tissue.  They like to be around it.  In the same way mosquitoes like to be around stagnant water, but they didn’t create the stagnant water!
Disease and sickness is the result of an unbalanced lifestyle.

5 Health Secrets to Inner Balance

The Idea of Winning

Sunday Evening was the big football game of the year, most of us sat in front of the television with our friends and family cheering on our favorite team. The super bowl is more than just a fun game of football. Taking a look deeper into the team, it takes a lot more than strength, good tactics and cheering fans to win a game. Each player must have the idea of teamwork, discipline and most importantly, the idea of winning. From the thoughts in his brain to his toes, each part of his body, mind & soul must work together to win. One who strives everyday to win & complete his tasks the right way will win. Winning is a habit, and so is losing. Strive for more than what you think you are capable of everyday, anything is possible with the correct mindset. “Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered with failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much, nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that k

WHAT WE GET WHEN WE GIVE

By Christine Carter, PHD Did you know that kinder people actually live longer, healthier lives? People who volunteer tend to experience fewer aches and pains. Giving help to others protects overall health. People 55 and older who volunteer for two or more organizations have an impressive 44% lower likelihood of dying-and that's after sifting out every other contributing factor, and many more. This means that volunteering is nearly as beneficial to our health as quitting smoking! It isnt just that kind of people also tend to be healthier and happier, or that happy , healthy people are more kind. Experiments have actually demonstrated again and again that kindness toward others actually causes us to be happier, improves our health, and lengthens our lives. We feel so good when we give because we get what researchers call a "helpers high," or a distinct physical sensation associated with helping. About half of participants in one study report that they feel str
