How to be HAPPY!

How to be Happy
  1. Change your thought process- Rather than thinking of the problems and getting desperate, imagine the best outcome and then work out what you need to do to make that happen. Your thoughts will translate into actions!
  2. See the world for what it really is- Learn how be thankful, think of all the things you have to be happy about. Relax, calm down, and take things a little slower.
  3. Lighten up- Take time to laugh at yourself and the situations you find yourself in. Laughter is a powerful and positive medicine and the calmer and more peaceful you can take things, the happier your life will be.
  4. Be yourself- You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you and don't compare yourself to other people - at work or in your personal life. The only person you should be pleasing is yourself!
  5. Schedule time everyday for relaxation- Having a "relaxation" time or a "quiet time" every day strengthens you, allows the stress and tension in your life to evaporate, and keeps you more on a positive track.
  6. Get a job you love- Having a job that makes you look forward to your day when you wake up in the morning is critical to a happy fulfilled life.
  7. Choose the right companion and choose friends carefully- Get involved with activities that reflect who you are, and get you know people who like the things you do. Surround yourself with people who share the same values as you do.
  8. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself- Volunteer your time somewhere. The more you give to the others, the more blessed you will feel.
  9. Keep learning- Whether it is a new hobby or a new rountine, just keep learning something that interests you. Just find a new interest and go for it! It will give you something to keep you occupied, and a new outlook on life.
  10. Set attainable goals- Believe in yourself & live up to them. Strive to the best you can be and don't stop til you get there. When you accomplish a goal, it's a great feeling.

WHAT WE GET WHEN WE GIVE

By Christine Carter, PHD Did you know that kinder people actually live longer, healthier lives? People who volunteer tend to experience fewer aches and pains. Giving help to others protects overall health. People 55 and older who volunteer for two or more organizations have an impressive 44% lower likelihood of dying-and that's after sifting out every other contributing factor, and many more. This means that volunteering is nearly as beneficial to our health as quitting smoking! It isnt just that kind of people also tend to be healthier and happier, or that happy , healthy people are more kind. We feel so good when we give because we get what researchers call a "helpers high," or a distinct physical sensation associated with helping. The Idea of Winning

Sunday Evening was the big football game of the year, most of us sat in front of the television with our friends and family cheering on our favorite team. The super bowl is more than just a fun game of football. Taking a look deeper into the team, it takes a lot more than strength, good tactics and cheering fans to win a game. Each player must have the idea of teamwork, discipline and most importantly, the idea of winning. From the thoughts in his brain to his toes, each part of his body, mind & soul must work together to win. One who strives everyday to win & complete his tasks the right way will win. Winning is a habit, and so is losing. Strive for more than what you think you are capable of everyday, anything is possible with the correct mindset. “Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered with failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much, nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that k
