Spinal misalignments or subluxations are often unavoidable and can occur at any time of your life. A subluxation is a misaligned spinal bone (vertebrae) that causes compression, tension, irritation and damage to the central nervous system. The tension of the misaligned vertebrae causes the organs and muscles of the body to malfunction and heal poorly. You must be aware of what can cause these misalignments so you can treat them correctly before a larger problem arises.

1.   Children falling while learning to walk and while playing during critical growing years.

2.   A car accident- causing shock or injury.

3.   Poor posture or an improper sleeping position.

4.   A difficult delivery at birth- affecting the spine for the rest of life

5.   A slip or fall at any age, or any type of sports injury.

6.   Using the same body position or movement repetitively at work or play.

7.   Emotional stress, trauma or anxiety- remember not to hold your stress inside!

8.   Incorrect lifting practices, or the improper carrying of heavy loads.

9.   Lack of sufficient sleep or relaxation, excessive workload or exhaustion.

10. Inadequate exercise, improper body movement, excess body weight.
