There are 2 reasons people get sick 11.   They are deficient in a requirement to express health. This could be a vitamin or mineral. It could be water or oxygen. It could be movement of the body. 22.     They have something toxic in their system. This could be withheld anger. It could be artificial colors from foods. It could be drugs, alcohol, caffeine, or nicotine. These are chronic stressors. So how do we get and stay well? Imagine this analogy. We are born into a swimming pool with a backpack and a flotation device. The flotation device has a small leak in it that will last about 120 years. This is the average life expectancy. What stress represents in your life is a rock in the backpack. Every time you put a rock in that backpack, you sink a little lower in the water. Day to day life becomes more of a struggle and it is harder to keep your head above water. Do you think that the answer to that backpack full of rocks is to take a blood pressu...
House on Fire! If your house suddenly caught on fire who would you call? Answer: the fire department The fire department comes in and uses their tools -hammers and hoses-to spray out the fire, break down doors and windows. This is necessary to stop the fire, but we are left with a mess. If they leave such a mess, is it good that we called them? Yes!!!! But should we call them back the next day to clean it all up? No, we would call a clean up crew. This is an analogy to your health. Your body is the house. The fire represents cancer, heart disease, etc. If your health were in a state of emergency, you would absolutely call the fire department also known as the medics. They would use their tools of drugs and surgery to put out the fire. But they would leave you a mess. The same question remains, would you use them to restore health and balance to your body? No. You would call in the repair and maintenance department, also known as your chiropractor!  Chiropracti...
GERMS AND DUST MAY MAKE YOU HEALTHIER! From a study done in Europe comes evidence that children's immune system works better when they are exposed to germs, dust and dirt at an early age. The studies were published in the September 19, 2002 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, (NEJM), and in the August 28, 2002 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The article in the NEJM starts off by stating, "It is known that children of elementary-school age who live on a farm are less likely to have asthma than their counterparts from non-farming households." The article in JAMA states, "Exposure to 2 or more dogs or cats in the first year of life may reduce subsequent risk of allergic sensitization to multiple allergens during childhood." What both these articles are saying is that it is a needed part of development for children to be exposed to certain amounts of germs and other irritants in order for their immune systems t...

WHAT SMILES AND SUNSHINE HAVE IN COMMON   Smiles and sunshine have a lot in common. They both can lift our spirits, they both radiate inner warmth and they both have the power to transform someone's day. Do you smile often? This may seem like a strange questions... but ask yourself when was the last time you smiled just for the sake of smiling. Do you smile from your heart? Smiles from the heart are the ones that come when you see a mother and child laughing and snuggling or an elderly couple out walking hand in hand, or when you see your most favorite person in the world or when you see a dog out playing in the snow. Those smiles are of extra value because they feel so darn good. They come up from inside you and splash onto your face for the world to see. Those smiles are contagious and hard not to respond to with a similar smile. Much like a bright and sunny day those smiles can not only change your mood or someone else's... those smiles can make a...

Amazing Body Facts Every person has a unique tongue print. A sneeze moves out of our mouth at a speed of 100 meters per hour. An average human being consumes about 500kg of food per year. The human tongue has about 10,000 taste buds. Taste buds are present inside the mouth and also on the roof of the mouth. The human eye can detect over 10,000,000 different colors. If all the alveoli (unit of lung) from both lungs were spread flat they would cover and area nearly the size of a tennis court. If the blood vessels were laid from one end to another, they would reach around the world four times. A drop of blood contains 250 million cells. Shivering is a way of trying to keep our body warm. The length of the finger indicates how fast the nail grows. After death, the body starts to dry out creating an illusion that the nails and hairs are growing even after death. When we reach 60 years of life, we lose 50% of our taste buds. Sense of taste is the weakest of the five ...
